WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND 1

MATCH 1: THE RAVEN VS METEOR
This match bagan oddly with Raven taking the microphone and started speaking about his troubled past and how everybody would pay for making him what he is today. As soon as the bell rang Raven viciously attacked Meteor with a wide variety of high-impact maneuvers including almost getting the win with a devastating powerbomb. Meteor fought back with a string of high-flying moves but missed his 450 Meteor Splash finisher and fell victim to Raven's Even Flow high-impact DDT scoring him the win and continuing on to the round 2.

MATCH 2: HEAVY-D VS SLAYER
This match also bagan oddly as after Heavy-D made his entrance and Slayer's intro music started to play but he didn't come through the entrance way. Everyone though he'd be a no-show, but he appearred out from under the ring behind Heavy-D suprising everybody! With the 400-pounder still looking the other way, Slayer climbed the top rope then hit Heavy-D with a devastating top-rope bulldog immediately covering the big man for the win and continuing on!

MATCH 3: SKY HIGH VS JEREMY CREED
The night of wild match openings continued as Creed attacked Sky High from behind as he made his entrance to the ring. Creed blasted Sky with a steele chair a few times before tossing him into the ring and officially starting the match. Creed worked over Sky with slams and a variety of suplexes. The turning point came countered a backdrop into a DDT. Getting a second wind, Sky came back with a powerful offensive including a devastating backdrop out of the ring, sending Creed crashing into the guardrail. Sky then did an amazing plancha onto Creed as he tried to enter the ring. Sky was about to finish off his opponent when suddenly Jean B'Stard came down to ring side and distracted Sky. Creed capitalized on the distraction and delivered his fisherman's buster suplex to steal the win.

MATCH 4: BIG DADDY PAYNE VS AMERICAN GLADIATOR
An excellent match where both men traded hold for hold and blow for blow. The match seemed to go either way until Diamond Dog, Payne's compatriot showed up to try and help steal one. His interference however caused Big Daddy to get disqualified. This lead to Payne and Dog beating down Gladiator with Diamond Dog delivering several Diamond Cutters before Payne locked on the Payne Killer arm lock.Gladiator had to be helped from the ring with the question of wheather he could continue the next round looming in the heads of everyone.
